NEW WOODCUT DESIGN OF KANSAS CITY

A HANDCRAFTED PRODUCT CREATED BY LOCAL BUSINESS CITYSCAPE DESIGN

The idea for this minimalistic piece of artwork began with the craving for a 'hands-on' project. As a Graphic Designer, business owner Jessica Janasz was looking for a new product that would demand less time at the computer and more attention to detail on a physically crafted piece.

Made out of Baltic Birch with laser engraved details, the one by two foot design is cut in the form of the original Kansas City design created in 2014. Mounted flush against the wall at a half inch thick, it's easy to hang with the pre-cut keyholes on the back.

This beautiful work of art represents iconic city landmarks including the Kansas City Power & Light building, the Boulevard Smokestack, Bartle Hall Pylons, Kauffman Arts Center, Western Auto building, and One Kansas City Place. Design details are engraved into a few of the buildings, especially within the intricately cut Western Auto sign, leaving each one to have slightly different character than the next.
